Days Off And Hours Off in Foresight Connect

 

In Foresight Connect, the Administrator decides whether staffers can report only days off or hours (including partial time off). Therefore, we have two possible time-off request models in Foresight:

1. Reporting Full Days Off
2. Reporting Partial Day Off

 

Configuring Time Off Request Settings

 

To globally configure whether employees can report only full-day or partial leaves, navigate to the settings in the administrator panel using the following path:

 

Make sure you have access to the Administrator Role Panel - Go to the Settings Tab - Click Allow Staffers to request Partial Time Off toggle

 

 

 

Adding Time Off With Partial Time Off Enabled

 

With this setting, the time off request window will allow you to report time off in days and hours.

  • A toggle can be switched from full day to partial day.
  • The form allows you to select full-time days off from the calendar or a particular number of hours from a selected number of days.

 

 

Adding Time Off With Partial Day Off Disabled

 

With this setting, the time off request window will allow you to report time off only in days. It will differ from the one that appears to employees if the partial time off option is enabled. 

  • No toggle can be switched from full day to partial day.
  • The form allows you to select full-time days off from the calendar.

 

 

Partial Time Off And Full Day Off in Calendars 

 

If the administrator allows reporting partial time offs, the calendar shows the requests in hours.

 

 

If the administrator allows the submission of requests only for full days, time offs in calendars will always be displayed in days.

 

 

Setting Up Limits Of Time Off Hours

 

The number of hours staffers and managers can request depends on the settings of their contracts. When creating a contract in Foresight, they set up contract capacity hours for each weekday. Therefore, they cannot request more hours off than the contract capacity indicates for a given day. The system returns an error when the request exceeds the manager's set number of hours.

To submit a request for more hours, please edit staffers' contracts.
