Accessing Your Time Off Tab

One of the perks of Foresight Connect is the ability to request, approve, and manage time off requests. Organizations that use Foresight can factor vacation, PTO, parental leave, and Staffers can submit their own time off requests for review and approval as long as they have been granted permission by the System Administrator. To access the Foresight Time Off tab, log in to your Staffer account and click the Time Off tab on the left navigation bar.

Time Off Requests Statuses

In Foresight Connect, you will find five application statuses:

  1. Pending: You have successfully sent your request.
  2. Accepted: Your request has been accepted by your manager.
  3. In progress: The time period you requested is already underway.
  4. Rejected: Your manager has denied your request. You can contact your manager to understand why your request has been denied.
  5. Retracted: Let’s say you applied for time off, but you changed your plans. In that case, you can withdraw your request. A request that has been withdrawn will show up with a Retracted status.

Viewing the Status of a Time Off Request

All your correctly added requests will be displayed at the top of the Time Off tab in a square bracket with a Pending status label. Once a request is accepted or rejected, it moves to the table at the bottom of the window. You can check its status by scrolling down to the table and looking at the left column. After adding a request, you should find the Pending status there. That status will change to Accepted if the request has been approved. You will receive a notification both in Foresight and in your email, if you turned on notifications.

Turning On Time Off Requests Notifications

If you want to receive notifications about the status changes of your Time Off requests, you can enable them in your account settings.

Log in to the Staffer Role Account ➡ Click icon on the left navigation bar right next to your name displayed at the bottom ➡ Go to the Settings section on the ribbon and go to the My Account Tab ➡ Check Time Off Updates checkbox on the Notifications tile ➡ Click Save button to confirm

Checking Used and Remaining Time Off Days

In Foresight, you can find the total number of time off requests you’ve submitted. By default, these requests are displayed in a yearly format, and you can switch between years using the settings at the top right.

Please note that this section does not show the total number of days off you can request or use. These details depend on your company’s policies. If you have questions about your available time off, consult your manager.

Editing or Retracting a Time Off Request

You can edit a time off request even if it’s in progress. The steps depend on the request's status:

  1. Pending Requests:
Pending requests are displayed at the top of the Time Off Requests window with a Pending status. To edit, click the Pencil icon in the top-right corner of the request. To retract, click the Red X icon next to the Pencil icon.

  2. Other Statuses (Accepted, Rejected, or In Progress):
For requests already accepted, rejected, or in progress, go to the Time Off Tab and scroll to the table at the bottom of the window. Locate the request, navigate to the last column on the right, and click the Three Dots icon. Choose Change Request to edit or Retract from the picklist to cancel the request.

Requesting Days Off And Hours Off

Depending on your organization settings, you can submit leave requests:

- Reporting Full Days Off

- Reporting Partial Day Off

The settings are global for the entire organization and can be managed by someone with managerial rights and access to the Administrator role in Foresight.

You can request partial days off if your manager has enabled this option in the administration panel in Foresight. Both Partial Day Time Off and Full Day Time Off requests can be submitted through the same window. However, the appearance of the request form depends on your organization’s settings.

  1. If Partial Day Time Off Is Enabled:
A Full-day toggle will appear in the request window. Moving this toggle will adjust the form to allow you to enter specific hours for particular days.

  1. If Partial Day Time Off Is Not Enabled:
The request form only allows you to select full vacation days from the calendar. In this case, no toggle for partial days or hours will be available in the request window.

For more information, consult your manager or administrator about whether this feature is enabled for your organization.

FAQ: Time Off

I’m an employee. Can I see other people’s requests?

No. This option is available only for managers.

I want to request Time Off, but I can’t find the right vacation type. Can I manually add a new vacation type?

Unfortunately, you don't have this option. Only managers with appropriate permissions can add time off types, and the list they create will be standard for the entire organization.

How can I know if my Time Off will be paid or not?

Time off types in Foresight don’t determine whether you’ll be paid during your leave. If you have concerns, ask your manager whether you’ll be paid during your absence.

Why can't I submit Time Off hours on some days?

The number of hours you can request depends on the manager's settings. The system will return an error when your request exceeds the manager's set number of hours.

The number of time off hours you can report is closely related to the number of capacity hours provided by your manager in your contract configured in the system and with public holidays for a given region. If you need any change regarding your capacity, please contact your manager.
