Troubleshooting: Why can't I add time off hours on some days?
Days Off And Hours Off
In Foresight Connect, staffers can submit leave requests in two ways, depending on the organization's global settings:
- Reporting Full Days Off
- Reporting Partial Day Off
People with managerial rights in the Administrator panel in Foresight can manage these settings.
Adding Time Off With Partial Time Off Enabled
If the Administrator panel enables this option, staffers and managers can report or add a partial day off in the request modal.
Go to the Time Off Section ➡ Click Add Time Off Button |
1. By default, the Full Day toggle is always selected because this is the most common type of request.
2. If you want to add for part of the day, press toggle. The option will change to a partial day, and you can submit an application for a specific number of hours on a given day.
Adding Full Day Off With Partial Day Off Disabled
If the option of partial time off isn’t turned on in the administrator panel, the request modal looks like this:

If the organization's administrator enables partial time off, the requested time off will be displayed in hours on the calendar.
If the administrator allows you to submit requests only for full days, time off in calendars will always be shown in days.
Troubleshooting: Why can't I add time off hours on some days?
The number of hours added as time off depends on the staffer’s contract capacity hours configured in the staffer’s contract in Foresight. The system returns an error when the requested hours exceed the contract capacity.
Please edit the staffer's contract if you need to add more time off hours.
